Helinox recliners chairs among one other Steelcase office chairs Couch Zero: After whittling down our number of chairs to the top ten that him and i were going to purchase and test hands-on, i was excited to test this one. The Helinox Chair Zero is undoubtedly the lightest chair during this entire review, taco style chairs included, and we had high hopes who's would solve our backcountry to come back pain woes. We're unfortunately, though, that despite it's weight, the Chair Zero falls short in some other category. We found it that they are uncomfortable and unsupportive, overall receiving the second lowest total score in your review. While extremely lightweight, our testers ultimately failed to believe that even the 17 ounces were worth carrying on the backcountry. Its uncomfortably short seat, lack of breathability, and wobbly design left us disappointed within the Chair Zero. Performance Evaluation: Comfort The Chair Zero is practical than having no chair in the least, but our praise can stop there. Its slick substance, small feet, and shallow seat depth allow it to be a frustrating product to utilize, especially when compared with a of its competitors. The material of your seat is thin as well as slippery, which made us sense unsupported and unstable in the chair. We had difficulty staying upright in this chair because the slick fabric, and its not enough breathability left room pertaining to improvement. Compared to the mesh back of the REI Flexlite or the vents in the TravelChair Joey, we felt the Chair Zero was a poor choice for hot climate. Only eight inches up, we had a hassle getting in and outside of this seat. Compared to the more four inches of height that you get with the Helinox Rotating, this chair was as well low to sit throughout comfortably. Moreover, once we did be along, the chair's narrow design achieved it difficult to stay inside, as we felt we were always sliding forward. The Chair Zero's compact legs and feet resulted in a very wobbly expertise. We were in regular fear of tipping through, resulting in a annoying experience. For a supplement designed primarily for comfort, we were surprised to see this one miss the mark so badly. Supplying Size Because this is often a backpacking review and not only a camping chairs review, sizing and packability were important to our scores, as this is actually the one area in which the Chair Zero shined far above recliners chairs and amazing comfort the competition. Coming in a nice, light stuff sack, the Chair Zero is easy to roll up in addition to pack into its handbag. We could easily visualize throwing this into our overnight backpack with no second thought. At only 17 ounces, this product is lighter than another review in this chair by at the least four ounces. In second place may be the Kelty Camp Chair, and is particularly ironically the only product that received a lower overall score in such a test than Chair Absolutely nothing. The very light excess fat of this seat is most probably due to the not enough extra features, tiny limbs, and thin material, which we do not think makes the chair worthwhile. However, we can't deny this chair is a pièce de résistance belonging to the backpacking chair industry for its extraordinary size. Durability Just for this metric, we tried to spot all the potential weak points with the products to see what the software creator had or hadn't done to add to their life expectancies. The primary hot spot on the tent style chairs, of which the Chair Zero is actually included, is the small umbrella-like holsters that will attach the fabric seat towards poles. We thought the Chair Zero had a reliable holster, and so it received an average score in this metric. Protected holsters of the Helinox Swivel and TravelChair Joey was promisingly thick and tough, the Chair Zero's was just a little less so. We saw no wear and tear during our testing, but i was not particularly impressed with the way Helinox attempted to cut weight by likely sacrificing durability. The Chair Zero is definitely expensive chair, and during $120, we'd expect to enjoy this product for an extended time. Its flimsy construction left us wary about investment, though. Versatility Despite being a backpacking review, we always appreciate items that marilyn and i can use in a handful of settings. We failed to get any good uses for any Chair Zero, and its feet made it difficult to use on any uneven surface. Whether inside the grass or sand, this Chair Zero was unsound, leading us to feel like it would nearly useless in some sort of backcountry setting. Its not enough extra features like pockets or straps forced us all to leave this chair inside the car while we took its competitors on a lot more adventures.
