I have a small problem with FF CM 11 RC.

The Character Pimper shows an Alxy model, which is, for some reason, not included (for me). It is the following model:

If I apply this model, I get the default Alyx :/ Anyone else having the same issue?

PS: Issue appears for HL2/EP0, dunno about EP1 and EP2 right now, will check asap.

EDIT:

Named model shows up in EP1 and EP2, only in EP0 it is not working.

I noticed this problem as well. If you go into the CM folder in sourcemods and then 'Character Pimper/AutoPlay/Repository/HL2/Aly1' the folder for this model is named 'G210_JEANS_FAWN'. You'll notice all the files are 'Alyx.*' but if you look in the _Valve directory in the parent director, all the files are 'aly1.*' (and in the Aly2, Aly3, etc.. folder they are aly2.*, aly3.*, etc...). You need to rename all the files in the G210 directory to match the files in the _Valve directory and then reinstall that model in Character Pimper, and then it should work...hopefully this will be fixed in the final release.

So, I know that some people are looking for additional Alyx characters to play with, until the final release comes out, and I discovered that I could play with older versions of Alyx if I copied the appropriate folders into the Character Pimper directory, and then added the missing materials in the hl2 directory. Anyways, the hybrid Alyx model (pictured below) has always been my favorite so I thought I'd upload it along with steps for anyone that would like to use this model:

1. Copy the folder below into your CM installation directory in steamapps/sourcemods. It will ask you to merge the folders, but no files will be overwritten. This will make the hybrid Alyx appear in your Character Pimper, and you can install it from here.

2. If you run the game now, you will likely get purple and black "textures", indicating missing textures. If this happens you will need to copy the files I have included below. Again, copy the 'hl2' folder into your root installation directory, but this time the files will be in 'materials/models'. Merge the folders, but don't overwrite anything, as you just need to copy files that don't exist yet (I haven't spent the time to single out EXACTLY which files are needed, so I just included all the likely suspects). After you have copied the textures over, the model should appear as it does in the picture, if not, let me know.

EDIT: For anyone wondering, this model was in version 10.42, but it appears she was removed from versions 10.90 and 10.94.

I was wondering if someone would be willing to upload files for other older models? It would be SOOOO much easier than downloading an entire version of Cinematic Mod to get one skin!

CM11 Release Candidate bug

I stumbled upon a bug in the combine teleporter room in Half-Life 2 where Mossman teleports herself with Eli Vance to the citadel.

The three turrets that where standing in that room fired on the combine, Eli Vance (killing him and therefore killing the script) and me / Gordon (I do not know, if they fired on Alyx or Mossman, but I think not).

I was playing with the Cinematic Mod 11 Release Candidate 1 (I downloaded the update to RC2 twice and after merging the parts, I got a corrupted archive - the same procedure worked for RC1).

It might be, that this bug was caused by the way I was playing: I took the other five turrets (two from the security station you have to defend and three from one prison block you have to survive in) all the way to the teleport chamber. So, all in all, I had eight turrets in that room... The five turrets I brought with me did only fire on the combine, but the three other ones fired on me / Gordon too.

Maybe it would be easier, if there was one topic for all bug reports... I did not want to make a new topic for only one bug, but this topic is getting a bit confusing - with everyone praising, criticising, posting bug reports and suggesting changes.
